Jake Bugg drops latest single 'Rabbit Hole'

Nottingham born singer-songwriter Jake Bugg has released his latest single, his third in the past year, 'Rabbit Hole'

The track, already lauded on by fans at live shows, sees Bugg take a further step away from his largely acoustic album 'Hearts that Strain', which was released in 2017.

Written and recorded in Los Angeles, 'Rabbit Hole' builds upon a slow guitar riff to evolve into an upbeat chorus which has had fans hooked when performed live, with Bugg stating he's 'had loads of requests to release it'.

Rabbit Hole follows 'Saviours of the City', a slower track released in April, and 'Kiss like the Sun', another upbeat tune that despite its release in November last year, is perfect for the summer months.

At just 26, Bugg already has four albums under his belt, and judging by his most recent three tracks, he is still thriving creatively.

His latest music comes courtesy of his new record deal with RCA Records. The new sound is clear, with Bugg noting "There'll be less guitars. I can write slow, ballady songs all day, but I'm trying to keep it up tempo".

Whatever direction Bugg goes in, the nucleus will always remain- his distinctive vocals carry the tune and the essence of classic folk is there, just somewhat more hidden.
